Dueling Darlings - March & Twisted Tuesday Challenges

Hello Everyone!

I missed you all since we have been gone....I bet you thought I might have fallen off the edge of the Grand Canyon!   Well, I did not fall but was scolded by my DH that I was too close to the edge.  I got a "not one more step"!  You know I did, right?!   LOL

It has been a whirlwind since we have been back.   Thus, me being late for the Dueling Darlings March post.  Kadie, provided the cutest kit this month.  I just loved the contents.  The image is from My Favorite Things ala mode 'Wishing You Luck'.  Thank you for the kit, Kadie.  I cannot wait to see what all the Dueling Darlings have created with it.  You can see too!  Their blogs are listed on the right side bar.

The challenge portion of our duel this month is to share a recent RAK (random act of kindness) we have initiated or been the recipient of.   Well, I cannot tell what I have done....ssshhhh it's a secret.....so I will share the second option of some way I have been blessed.  There are so many to choose from, but to narrow it down lately I feel blessed to have such great family and friends.  They really highlight each day.

Speaking of friends, Melina has a challenge going on over at Twisted Tuesday Challenges.  You need to go check it out!   The challenge for the next two weeks is to create a project using banners with the twist of adding pearls.   Fun!

Since I was short on time (that is a nice way to put it!) I combined the Dueling Darlings by using Kadie's kit and images, with Twisted Tuesday Challenges March 19th Challenge.   Here is the card that came together.   I hope that it meets everyone's criteria.

I usually have a YouTube song that I listened to while creating my card.  It is late, I am tired and so I went to my default...Pandora Classical Solo Piano.  I have no clue who those artists are!   LOL

Oh and you probably want to see a picture of the Grand Canyon.   Here is one that I think was from the "not one more step" area!   Enjoy!

Twisted Tuesday Challenge - March 5th

I am such a lucky girl!   I was asked to be on the Guest Design Team at Twisted Tuesday Challenge Blog, for the month of March.   Thank you, Melina.

There will be two challenges in the month of March at Twisted Tuesday.  Each challenge lasting two weeks.  Plenty of time for you to join in on the fun!  You can view the challenge, Design Team cards and entries here.

The March 5th challenge is to create something Spring like and the 'twist' is to add something green {either in color or re-purposed}.

You know that I am in a 'use what 'cha got' phase!  Well, I did and didn't do that.  I needed to create five card kits recently and I did not have enough of what I needed to create them all.   Shopping became a MUST!   LOL   I actually shopped well at a sale that I found at a local craft store.  They featured My Mind's Eye, Teresa Collins Tell Your Story items. I was able to create six....oh the sixth kit is for myself....fairly large card kits, each with eight two sided DP's, coordinating card stock, paper embellishments, and stamped images for under ten dollars!  That includes the cute stamp set too!  Who knew?!  ;)

I pulled out my Stampin' UP! inks in Sage Shadow and Pumpkin Pie.   Wow, that Sage Shadow ink pad was needing a re-ink in a bad way!   Remember, I have the old school ink pads.  Between the marker and the ink pad, I was able to color away.

The sentiment on this card is from TPC Studio.  The 'hello' made me think of the Tuskegee version of Lionel Richie's song with Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland.  I still cannot believe Lionel pulled off country!

Here is the card that I created.  I do hope that it meets the challenge.

Thanks, for stopping by to take a peek.
